Alzette House
Refurbishment, London, 2005
Durat, pine
£50,000
The complete refurbishment of a two bedroom flat, in a tower block designed by the architect Lubetkin, that responds to morning light.
Materials and finishes were chosen for their ability to reflect or absorb the abundance of natural light; ceramic tiles, gloss finish to sprayed cupboards, timber floor and a matt finish to the walls.
Bespoke joinery conceals white and colour changing light fittings inspired by the shifting colours of the sky.
