Crooms Hill Grove

Refurbishment, London, 2008
American White Oak, galvanised steel
£113,000

The works to this two bedroom house in Greenwich were conceived as a series of interventions and insertions within the existing fabric of the home.

Occupied by only one person, these small changes using a restrained materials palette resolved the issues the client had with the existing layout.

A new kitchen with concealed indirect lighting was nestled in under the low exposed beams the counter and flooring finished in oak. On the ground floor access to the courtyard garden was improved with a new stair and door. Using the combination of oak and galvanised steel the transition from interior to exterior is graceful and contemporary.
